Sabbatical Comes To an End.

Returned yesterday from my blogging sabbatical in which I went on a reading spree, suffocating myself with lots of writings and really enjoyed the quiet “Me and my books πŸ“š” time as I call it.

So I read a couple of awesome books from writers like Agatha Christie, Chinua Achebe, Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi, Ngugi wa Thiongo, Barack Obama, Sidney Sheldon, Okot p’Bitek, Harriet Anena and Beatrice Lamwaka among others and all of them stood out with their uniqueness.

I also visited Kidepo Valley National Park, saw a couple of animals from Zebras, Lions, Bushbucks, Elephants, buffalos to Hornbills and learnt that Warthogs are really a forgetful bunch and our guide had the humor to suggest that “if humans were forgetful as em Warthogs then there would be no war”

I also watched a few movies I had never watched that gave me a new perspective of viewing screenwriter as heroes and dreamers, all it took were movies like Adjustment Bureau movie with Matt Damon, Deception the series withΒ Jack Cutmore-Scott, Commuter with Liam Neeson and The Age of Adaline. I still marvel at the film scripts which I hope to read in the near future.

To cut it short I’ve had a great time off blogging but something was lacking, I missed the blue of word press, yearned for the community market place of ideas blogging offers so am glad to be back, Again 😊
